Skild AI and Pittsburgh International Airport announce xBridge quadruped pilot partnership
On September 29, 2026, Pittsburgh International Airport announced an xBridge pilot with Skild AI, planning up to four quadruped robots and two charging stations in the Airside Terminal. Powered by Skild adaptive autonomy software, robots will navigate assigned operating areas with keep-out zones. Skild will handle installation, mapping, on-site supervision, monitoring and staff training. The initial phase will monitor indoor air quality and alert staff to readings outside thresholds; the second will explore full trash bins, spills and passenger congestion; the third will explore mobile biological-threat monitoring with BioFlyte and food-and-beverage delivery.
