Southern University of Science and TechnologyOSOR Hand
Academic research prototype; not a commercial hand product.
OSOR Hand is a five-finger soft hand designed by researchers at Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen Technology University and the University of Pennsylvania, with 12 degrees of freedom across its fingers and palm. The paper describes a TPU 95A hand body printed monolithically by selective laser sintering, with asymmetric pneumatic chambers producing bending. Reported experiments include tissue pinching, two-finger bottle grasping and palm-only grasping, illustrating the bendable palm’s role in contact and enclosure.
